We are going on safari to explore East Africa. We have booked a 14-night, 15-day tour that provides the best time and options to see and experience the optimum! The first spot is Tanzania, we will presently arrive in Arusha, where our accommodation presents a great panorama view of Mount Meru.
Our next day will be at the Lake Manyara National Park, located along the Rift Valley escarpment. Lake Manyara National Park features an amazing jungle-like ambiance within the forest, contains vast herds of zebra, buffalo, and wildebeest. In perpetual migration, the Park has an abundance of pink flamingos.
On our fourth and fifth day, we will rest at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. From our terrace we have a fantastic view over the crater floor. We are able to explore the crater on a day-long tour, including a picnic lunch. On that point, we will start by visiting the Ngorongoro Crater, which is the largest in the world, covering an area of 325 square kilometers, 3188 meters above sea level, 610 meters deep. The region surrounding the crater contains the most dense wildlife population around the world.
The sixth, seventh and eighth days we are going on safari at the world-famous Serengeti Game Reserve. After a stop at the prehistoric Olduvai Gorge, we can take part in the twice-daily game drives, accompanied by experienced guides, giving us the chance to have up-close watching of the wildlife.
The ninth day we will rest at the fabulous Norfolk Hotel. It is a day for our own individual leisure, to catch up on relaxation.
The next two days we are going on safari to the Samburu Game Reserve. While here, we will rest at the Samburu Serena Lodge, looking out over the Uaso Nyiro River filled with crocodiles and hippos. The twice-daily game drives at the Reserve are a bit different. We will experience being in the presence of wildlife that are rather familiar with vacationers and appear to have no objection to make Kenyan safari pictures!
On our next stop we are going on safari for three days at the Masai Mara Game Reserve. It is the most spectacular wildlife refuge of Kenya. In addition to more than a million wildebeest and around 250,000 zebra, the Masai Mara Game Reserve contains a wide range of birdlife, giraffe, mongoose, black rhino, leopard, hyena, hippo, buffalo, gazelle, and lion. This spot offers the opportunity to visit the Masai Village and be instructed in the lifestyle and culture of the local Masai people.
On our final day of this tour we will lunch at the Carnivore, a great game restaurant, and have the remainder of the day for leisure at the Norfolk Hotel before boarding your flight to return home after we are going on safari to Africa. Going on safari to Africa was a great vacation idea to explore this fantastic vacation spot.
