There are so many things to do in Atlanta, one of the main attractions you should visit is the Atlanta Zoo. When you walk through the gates to get in the Atlanta Zoo, first thing you will hear is the sounds of wildlife within the confines of the zoo.
As soon as you come in the zoo, you will walk into Flamingo Plaza. Before watching all the different animals of the zoo, you might take your kids to enjoy the Kidzone, which includes a birthday parlor, playground, children's petting zoo and a lot of zoo animals to see in their habitats. Inside the KidZone you will see the kangaroos, exotic birds and the creatures of the wetlands.
Leaving the KidZone, you can move onto the Elephant House and the Wildlife Theatre, where you can see the huge elephants that live in the zoo. Next you can move to the tigers and the leopards. This is a really impressive sight to see for the whole family. After visiting the leopards and the tigers, you could go to the Grand Patio to rest a bit to take a snack. Good place located right next door is the Ford Pavilion as well as the Wild Planet Café. After relaxing for a while and delighting some good food, you will get on your way to visit the giant pandas. You will find yourself passing some time here seeing their antics, because they are so much amusing to watch.
Next to the pandas you can move onto the reptiles world, this is where you will see everything that makes you shudder. They jump around all over the place and wiggle by you. Next you will move on to visit the otters in their home ground. These animals live usually in the Asian Forest. After the otters you can move onto the Ford African Rain Forest where you could watch the big gorillas and have a look at the conservation center, the monkeys, and all their farces. This can amuse you some time while you sit and keep an eye on them jump, swing, and play king of the jungle.
Next place, you will want to move onto is the African Plains with the rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions and the elephants again. Just watch the wildlife at play while sitting a while at the pavilion. The Atlanta Zoo is really impressive and offers anything you could possibly want to see in a zoo environment. Finish your day off going back at the Flamingo Plaza while watching the flamingos, take a break, and have snack. There are so many things to do in Atlanta and one of them is the zoo that offers everything for a great day of visiting.
But don't forget to take a ride on the Zoo Express Train while you are at the zoo, take a ride on the Endangered Species Carousel or do some rock climbing. Before leaving the park you may purchase some souvenirs at the Trading Company and the Panda Gift Shop. Have a great day at the Atlanta Zoo and enjoy the animals and the games and food.
